BOB HOLLIDAY June 28/1942 - December 28, 2022

The Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame was saddened to learn that Honoured Member Bob 'Doc' Holliday has passed away after a long bout with cancer. Bob started his reporting career at The Lance. He'd move on to the Tribune then Winnipeg Sun covering crime and sports until retirement in 2007. Through his crime reporting, Bob developed a long-term relationship with the Winnipeg Police Association. For many years he was a driving force behind the St. Vital Historical Society & Museum. In 1981 Bob ventured into promoting professional wrestling where his work was much appreciated by the wrestling community. In 2020, a stretch of Sadler Avenue east of Ste. Anne's Road where Bob grew up, was renamed Bob Holliday Way to honour his immense contributions to his St. Vital community.
