Born in Riverton, this right winger played junior in Flin Flon and set a record for most goals in a season and in 1970 was chosen the WCJHL MVP. Drafted by Boston, he also played in the NHL for California, Philadelphia and Detroit. He played on the Flyers' 1975 Stanley Cup winning team. In 1976 he set a playoff record with 19 goals. "The Riverton Rifle" was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy even though Montreal won the Stanley Cup; the only non-goalie to be so honoured. He played 934 NHL games with 381 goals, 285 as sists, 666 points. In 2000, he was voted to Manitoba's All-Century Second All-Star Team.
