CLEM LOUGHLIN

DOB - November 15, 1894
DOD - February 8, 1977

Born in Carroll, Manitoba, this defenceman won the 1915 Allan Cup playing with the Winnipeg Monarchs. From 1917 to 1926, he played in the PCHL and WCHL . He won a Stanley Cup in 1924-25 when the Victoria Cougars beat the Montreal Canadiens 3 games to 1, outscoring them 16 to 8. After the 1926 series, the West Coast League disbanded and their players were sold to Chicago, Detroit and New York. Clem Loughlin wound up with the Blackhawks, playing 3 seasons then coaching them for another three years.
