Hockey Manitoba is an organization of voluntary members and a small professional staff unit designed to promote and develop amateur hockey throughout Manitoba in affiliation with Hockey Canada, Sport Manitoba, and our member Regional Hockey Associations, Minor Hockey Associations and Leagues.

Winnipeg Minor Hockey Association

Winnipeg is home to the Winnipeg Jets, members of the National Hockey League. The Jets play their home games at the MTS Centre.

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League is one of ten Junior A Hockey Leagues in Canada and is a proud member of the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL). The CJHL is an association of ten Junior A Leagues in Canada. The MJHL exists to provide the best hockey development opportunities for players. The Mission Statement of the MJHL is "To provide each player with an elite hockey development experience with a strong emphasis on education and citizenship". Currently, there are eleven (11) member franchises in the MJHL.

The American Hockey League (AHL) is a 30-team professional ice hockey league based primarily in the United States that serves as the primary developmental circuit for the National Hockey League (NHL).

The Western Hockey League started with just seven teams based in the provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta in 1966. The WHL now has representation in all four Western Canadian provinces and the U.S. states of Oregon and Washington. With the addition of the Edmonton Oil Kings for the 2007-08 season, the WHL now consists of 22 member Clubs with 17 based in Canadian markets and 5 in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. The WHL is a member of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL).

The National Hockey League (NHL) operates a major professional ice hockey league of 30 franchised member clubs, of which 6 are located in Canada and 24 in the United States. Headquartered in New York City, the NHL is widely considered to be the premiere professional ice hockey league in the world. Teams compete for the Stanley Cup, the oldest professional sports trophy in North America.

The North Central Hockey League is an amateur hockey league. The league has been operating since the 1957-58 season in central Manitoba.
